Big-dog attitude on short, sturdy legs.

Vachtverzorging & verzorging

The weatherproof double coat sheds a lot year-round and heavily in season, so brush several times a week (daily during moults). Their long back and short legs make them prone to weight-related spinal strain, so keeping them lean and limiting stair/jumping stress is important.

Veelgestelde vragen

Do Corgis bark a lot?

They can. As herding dogs they are alert and vocal, so training and enrichment help manage barking at movement and visitors.

Are Corgis prone to back problems?

Their long spine and short legs raise the risk of disc disease, so keeping them at a healthy weight and limiting big jumps is important.
