Temperament & persoonlijkheid

  • Loyal
  • Confident
  • Courageous
  • Intelligent

German Shepherds are devoted, protective and eager to work, bonding strongly with their family and often aloof with strangers. Their intelligence demands a job — training, scent work or sport — or they may become anxious or destructive. Early socialisation and consistent, positive training are essential.

Vachtverzorging & verzorging

The dense double coat sheds steadily and "blows" heavily twice a year, needing brushing several times a week (daily during moults). Beyond grooming, this breed needs substantial daily physical exercise plus mental challenges to stay balanced and content.
