5. AI Image Processing and International Data Transfers

To analyse your pet photos, we share the images with third-party AI vision providers that act as our sub-processors. They process the photos solely to return breed, coat and health-related insights, and are contractually prohibited from using your images to train their own models or for any other purpose.

• Google (Gemini vision models) — our primary image-analysis provider.
• OpenAI — used as a fallback or for specific analysis features, where applicable.

These providers may process your photos on servers located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is governed by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Photos are transmitted securely and are retained by these providers only for as long as needed to complete the analysis.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Photos are resized on your device before upload, and all data is encrypted in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
