The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a small but robust herding dog with short legs, upright ears and a foxy face. Bred to drive cattle in Wales, it is bold, smart and affectionate — famously the favoured breed of Queen Elizabeth II.
Corgis pack a big personality into a small frame: they are outgoing, playful and quick to learn, but also independent and vocal, with a herding dog's urge to nip at heels and bark at movement. They are affectionate and adaptable, thriving with training that channels their energy and intelligence.
